I am trying to find information on the Boys/Boyes/Boise/Boyce line born in Scotland and ended up in Quebec. I have checked church records but unsure if all the varients are from the same family.

One church entry was for a child born to Thomas Boyes

"On the twentieth day of August in the year of our lord, one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight, was baptized, in this protestant church of Three Rivers by me the undersigned minister of the said church, Adam Duncan born the nineteenth of June, lawful son of Thomas Boyes, captain of the twenty sixth regiment, and Elizabeth his wife. Sponsors were, Thomas Boyes, Adam Gordon Campbell and Alexis Campbell."

I have seen no other birth entries on this family except for a mention of Adam Gordon Campbell {Sponsor } below

"In November the monthly return of the Regiment was dated on board the "Asia" transport, having embarked that day. A malignant fever having broken out in the 41st foot, which had just arrived in the "Asia," the 26th disembarked on the 16th of November and went into cantonments in the neighbourhood of Quebec, at Cliarlebourg, Beauport, &c., and on the 16th of May, 1800, they again embarked, and proceeded in the above vessel for Nova Scotia. On arrival at Halifax, the Cameronians landed, and performed the duties of that garrison until the 2?th of September, when the Regiment again embarked for England. Two of the transports reached Portsmouth in safety, and the men landed on the 5th of November ; but that in which Captain Campbell's company had been embarked was captured in the chops of the Channel, by the "Grande Decidee," French privateer. A convention was entered into, by which the troops were bound not to serve till exchanged ; and Lieutenant Edward Shearman and Ensign Adam G. Campbell ( godfather of Adam Duncan Boyes ) were taken on board the privateer as hostages ; after which the transport was allowed to pursue her voyage. The agreement was confirmed by Government. These two officers were afterwards sent from Corunna, where
they were landed from the privateer, to Portugal, whence they returned by Oporto to England"

I find Boys/Boyes/Boyce in Three Rivers in 1820/30's under the names Thomas, James, John, Grizzel, Jannet, Ellen

Questions:

Could these be grown children of the ABOVE Thomas would he have received a land grant after service ?

would I beable to find discharge papers for above Thomas?

Found in England this headstone would be a sister of Duncan Adam (birth place unknown)
